1. What is CoolRent?
CoolRent is an online place that gives you the possibility to rent/exchange an item and to list your items, so that anyone can see them and make a booking request.

2. Who can list things in CoolRent?
Any business, group, or individual that has items for rent/exchange.

3. How do the rental and the exchange processes in CoolRent work?
There are two types of members - owners (the parties who give items for rent or exchange) and renters (the parties who take items for rent or exchange). When you create an account you can be at the same time an owner and a renter. As an owner you can list your items for rent/exchange and as a renter you can make booking requests. For more details see here.

4. Is it free to create an account?
Yes, the registration in cool-rent.com is free. Also CoolRent does not take any commission for the deals.

5. What happens if something goes wrong (loss, damage etc.)?
The rental/exchange agreement that will be established between the members (owner and renter) will manage all these cases. You can also put a deposit on your item. Which is an option available when you list the item. This is the best way to protect your items. Also make sure the renter of your item pays you upfront before you rent them.

6. What is a booking request?
When a renter wants to take (rent and exchange) an item that is listed on the CoolRent webpage, he/she creates a booking request. After that the owner decides if to accept or reject it.

7. What is the meaning of the different statuses on the booking request?
For more details see the scheme here.

8. How are the members of CoolRent evaluated?
Once the booking has been completed a system message will be sent to the owner and the renter asking them to give their valuation.

9. What are the available payment methods?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express or PayPal.

10. Are the services, for which I pay, active right after the payment is processed?
Usually the activation of these services takes few seconds after the payment, but sometimes it might take one-two hours.

11. What if I do not pay my bill?
The services included into the bill, which are not paid, are not active. If, for example, you add 5 images on an item and the last 3 are not paid, the other users would not see these 3 images until the payment is done.

12. Why do I need to pay on the PayPal web site?
It is safe to pay through the PayPal website. When you enter you credit card information on the PayPal website or when you pay from your PayPal account you do not share your payment information with us. We just receive a confirmation of your payment.

13. Why do I have more than one bill with status Waiting Payment?
That may happen when you have bills with different currencies.

14. When do I need to pay a transaction fee?
The transaction fee is included only in the bills with total amount equal or less than US$. There is no transaction fee in the case where your total amount of the bill is bigger than US$ .
